Do a “cleanse” of some kind – usually involving juices. Do an elimination diet. Take expensive supplements and only eat soup. Eat within a 4 hour window each day.

With all this conflicting advice, you don’t know what to eat, or what to cook.

So you pick a diet at random.

Nothing makes sense.

You don’t know if there’s sound logic, process or traditional wisdom behind the diet you’ve just signed up for. But you hope for the best and dive in anyway.
